- Hands on therapy: We provide hands on therapy to treat the problems we identify.
- Education: We will teach you about your condition, your prognosis and how you can help yourself.
- Advice: We will provide advice on work practices,
sports and hobbies, exercise, supplements and anything that affects your
condition and health relating to that condition.
- Investigations: We regularly refer for X-Rays and scans where medically required.
- Referral: If your problem is beyond Physiotherapy’s
scope of practice or if you require the skills of another medical
practitioner, we will refer you to one of the many trusted doctors and
allied health professionals we work with regularly
Clinical Pilates - Core Control.
Safe exercise and controlled movement is Clinical Pilates. Clinical
Pilates has been developed by a team of Physiotherapists and Exercise
Physiologists at Advantage Healthcare and Physiotherapy.
Clinical Pilates utilises a combination of traditional Pilates and
specific Physiotherapy body movements to get the correct muscles in your
core activated.
This correct activation is essential for normal body motion. Core
control will help you to stop your spinal or limb pain. A strong core is
the best insurance against injury.
Our studio is a friendly and comfortable environment where you can
rejuvenate your body under the expert instruction of university
qualified exercise experts. We will develop a custom Pilates program
for you that targets all the areas you need to work on.

Clinical Pilates - Getting Started
At Advantage Healthcare and Physiotherapy, we are very serious about getting the most for you out of your Pilates exercise program. We are also committed to providing you with a safe, achievable exercise program.
Following are the steps you need to take to get started:
Book your Pilates Assessment
We will assess your body and determine the exercises that are appropriate for you to meet your goals. We will advise you if other therapies might be appropriate for your circumstances. You will have the opportunity to ask further questions about Pilates.
Have an introductory 1 on 1 session. This session will familiarise you with the Pilates studio and with your specific exercises.
You may need additional 1 on 1 sessions, depending on your level of ability.
